To Understand Mark 13:32 one must understand The Godhead and not the Pagan Vatican Trinity
To God be the glory forever Amen! Heavenly Father I pray that those who may read this receive this and have the witness from the Spirit of Truth that abides in those of us who are saved. May God be glorified. Heavenly Father I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that those who are diligently seeking you may learn from your word which by your will have been presented here in the context of understanding the Godhead which is truth. Your word will not return void and you watch over your Word. Amen! I also pray that all who may read this read and understand in accordance with John 14:6-21 and Ephesians 1:17-20, Amen! Maranatha! Amen!
To understand this is to understand and apprehend the Absolute Truth which is Jesus Christ. ABSOLUTE TRUTH
I sadly witnessed a tragic debate between a Muslim Scholar and a Christian concerning Trinity vs Tawhid Trinity vs Tawhid – Dr. David Woods Debate with Muslim Scholar Mohammed Hijab
Why The Muslim Scholar won the debate.
Simply Dr. Woods tried to defend the faith using pagan non scripture doctrine of The Trinity instead of the Biblical Godhead.
November 7, 2018
The Muslim Scholar handily defeated Dr. Woods’ defense of the Trinity as being Christian doctrine because Dr Woods was defending the faith with the vain philosophy and traditions of man (Trinity) instead of solid Bible evidence of the Godhead. Please read entire issue here that I blogged on November 7, 2018:
See notes below
The Muslim told Dr. Woods that no Christian could properly answer MARK 13:32 on why if the Trinity is 3 persons why are only two mentioned. And why would Jesus Christ say he did not know the day and hour of the Second Advent (2nd coming of Jesus Christ upon the earth after the tribulation period to the battle of Armageddon) . Dr. Woods could not answer why only God the Father and The Son are mentioned and not the Holy Spirit. As for why Jesus didn’t know, Dr. Woods weakly, not certain said it was because Jesus was man and as man could not know all as man. Etc.
I thought I had addressed the issue in my blog above, but after further research I discovered that Muslims and Atheists love using Mark 13:32 against Christians. I was shocked to discover volumes of online Christian reference material do not correctly address this issue, primarily from using the Trinity instead of Godhead and also, as such not fully understanding the Godhead based on Bible text.
What I want to display here is a full disclosure that unbelievers in the Godhead don’t realize but the verse they’ve tried to dispel the truth is actually the verse that buries them. This includes the Vatican and apostate Christian churches and theologians who do not understand or teach the Godhead and the King James Bible teaching of Godhead.
Here’s what Mark 13:32 shows us:
First Muslim scholars and apostate preachers as well as unlearned Bible scholars of today’s apostate seminaries are not taught or use the King James Version Bible.
The King James Version in Matthew 24:36 does not include “the son” in not knowing.
Since Matthew 24:36 is discussing the exact event as Mark 13:32 which does include the son in not knowing we have to first understand how Mark’s gospel is contrasted with Matthew.
Mark was written first with the audience being Roman’s. Matthew was written later addressing primarily Jews.
The key issue here is Matthew adds into Mark and takes over adding more detail.
It should be understood that Matthew wanted his audience to understand that the son and the father are one and therefore whatever the father knows, the son knows.
Looking at only Mark 13:32 we can even moreover prove The Godhead, and dispels the notion of the trinity or modalism. See definition and comparisons of all three – Trinity – Modalism – Godhead below in EndNotes. And in the form of great irony It also proves the Vatican disproves – makes itself a liar – hypocritical in fullness by showing its trinity doctrine is in itself dispelling Trinity and agreeing with Godhead and the notion of the Trinity. Yes this is done by its own admission. Yes, truly God has a sense of humor.
This is not a simple issue of semantics between persons vs parts. We see that Godhead properly defined by scripture is 1 God comprised of 3 parts (Body, Soul, and Spirit) The same who created man in his own image which is 3. Trinity is defined as a triune God in 3 persons that are divine within 1 God. Please see full disclosure below in Endnotes.
Let’s explore Mark 13:32 to its very essence:
Mark 13:32 : 13:32 = 13 = 1 God exists in 3 parts (not distinct persons) : 32 = 3 parts exists as as two whom the 3rd inhabits internally possessing internal
On the surface, Mark 13:32 presents two extreme dilemmas for one attempting to interpret. Before us exists an extreme paradox of sorts: To understand a paradox we must know that a paradox are 2 truths when compared side by side appear to be a contradiction, but when revealed the 2 truths are a witness and prove the absolute value of the truth shown. In this text we are told: 1. We are told that Jesus Christ, by his own admission, does not in this context possess omniscience regarding the 2nd Advent. 2. We are told by Jesus Christ himself that only God the Father knows and himself, The Son of God are not in knowledge of the 2nd advent, and Jesus does not mention the Holy Spirit here which is the 3rd part of the Godhead. By other scripture we find a great paradox of Jesus claiming that he and the Father are the same that he is actually God which is why he was murdered. We are also told in scripture that the Godhead is 3 in one yet here we only see two members or parts of the Godhead, those being Father and Son. The Spirit is absent.
To address this issue I will begin with the challenge of the Divine nature of Jesus Christ having full omniscience.
Please read my complete Godhead study below in the endnotes for the details on scripture based Godhead. By the mere definition of Godhead, it is clear Jesus is referring to himself as the image of God represented in bodily form who as a servant on earth to do His Father’s will has not been given the authorization or the authority to mention what of course Jesus Christ as truly God with full power and authority and omniscience would not be able to communicate at that point in time to show the disciples that frankly such issues are not any of their concern at that time…
The best scripture evidence is found in 2 Corinthians 12:2-4. This scripture is the exact paradigm Jesus Christ was referring to as Paul experienced. This proves our existence in 3 parts and proving the body – mouth is not allowed to or have human knowledge of what the spirit knows and the soul has been told but the human mind cannot understand and has not knowledge of and authority to utter or comprehend. (For a deep study on the Spirit, Soul, and Body based on solid scripture evidence please read the 1968 Edition of Spiritual Man by Watchman Nee. Later editions have been perverted and corrupted by the new publisher) Why? Because probably it is beyond all human scope of comprehension of our physical world of time and space. In 2 Corinthians Paul refers to himself in 3rd person. This is not to prevent bragging as many bible scholars proclaim, but rather in truth Paul is giving us the perfect paradigm of the spirit operating through the soul apart from human operation of the body. Paul is proving an event of himself in the 3rd heaven, not knowing whether he was operating in his animated body or in the spirit, but was forbidden to speak of it, implying his human form would not be allowed or have knowledge of same. We know Paul was living outside the realm of this current realm and it was far beyond anything this realm can comprehend. We know his human body was most likely dead at that moment following a stoning in Lystra where we was dragged out of the city and left for dead in Acts 14:19-28.
In other words Jesus Christ knows all things but in human form his body- mouth was not allowed to speak of it. So extensive as to not utter the words as happened to Paul. Why? The physical soul (mind) of Jesus did not have knowledge of what his divinity (divine soul and spirit possessed full infinite knowledge) because he was not allowed to speak what The Father had not instructed. John 8:28, 12:49. It is interesting this is also the same verse critics especially Muslims and Atheists use against Christians to challenge the divinity of Jesus Christ.
Matthew Henry gives a very good description of this event here below: Notice that the early church fathers who had broken away from Papal Authority in Rome never used the term Trinity to explain Godhead but used Godhead. Only in current modern apostate era Protestant churches is Trinity widely used. Even rare teachers who teach Godhead doctrine and not Trinity likeYoutube Bryan Denlinger get Godhead right but confuse it with God’s Soul doing its thing in Heaven, The Holy Spirit doing its thing and Jesus sitting next to God literally. Denlinger and others teach that in Revelation 22 God will zap himself back into one person. This is also preposterous and is not matching scripture with scripture since we were created in God’s image we don’t have our 3 parts moving around independently from each other. I will admit however I’m open to further discussion on this issue. (Note: See my Blog rebuke of Denlinger heresy of adding works based salvation etc.)
Matthew Henry (18 October 1662 – 2.2 June 1714) Commentary of Mark 13:32: Christ doth not speak these things, merely to frighten them; no, they are declarations of God’s fixed purpose; “Heaven and earth shall pass away, at the end of time; but my words shall not pass away (v. 31), not one of these predictions shall fail of a punctual accomplishment.’’II. “As to the end of the world, do not enquire when it will come, for it is not a question fit to be asked, for of that day, and that hour, knoweth no man; it is a thing at a great distance; the exact time is fixed in the counsel of God, but is not revealed by any word of God, either to men on earth, or to angels in heaven; the angels shall have timely notice to prepare to attend in that day, and it shall be published, when it comes to the children of men, with sound of trumpet; but, at present, men and angels are kept in the dark concerning the precise time of it, that they may both attend to their proper services in the present day.’’ But it follows, neither the Son; but is there any thing which the Son is ignorant of? We read indeed of a book which was sealed, till the Lamb opened the seals; but did not he know what was in it, before the seals were opened? Was not he privy to the writing of it? There were those in the primitive times, who taught from this text, that there were some things that Christ, as man, was ignorant of; and from these were called Agnoetae; they said, “It was no more absurd to say so, than to say that his human soul suffered grief and fear;’’ and many of the orthodox fathers approved of this. Some would evade it, by saying that Christ spoke this in a way of prudential economy, to divert the disciples from further enquiry: but to this one of the ancients answers,, …Dr. Lightfoot explains it thus; Christ calls himself the Son, as Messiah. Now the Messiah, as such, was the father’s servant (Isa. 42:1 ), sent and deputed by him, and as such a one he refers himself often to his Father’s will and command, and owns he did nothing of himself (Jn. 5:19 ); in like manner he might be said to know nothing of himself. The revelation of Jesus Christ was what God gave unto him, Rev. 1:1 . He thinks, therefore, that we are to distinguish between those excellencies and perfections of his, which resulted from the personal union between the divine and human nature, and those which flowed from the anointing of the Spirit; from the former flowed the infinite dignity of his perfect freedom from all sin; but from the latter flowed his power of working miracles, and his foreknowledge of things to come. What therefore (saith he) was to be revealed by him to his church, he was pleased to take, not from the union of the human nature with the divine, but from the revelation of the Spirit, by which he yet knew not this, but the Father only knows it; that is, God only, the Deity; for (as Archbishop Tillotson explains it) it is not used here personally, in distinction from the Son and the Holy Ghost, but as the Father is, Fons et Principium Deitatis —The Fountain of Deity. III. “As to both, your duty is to watch and pray. Therefore the time is kept a secret, that you may be engaged to stand always upon your guard.
2. In response to why only God the Father and The Son are mentioned in Mark 13:32 it is important to note that in at least 26 verses only the 2 of the 3 are mentioned. Example: 1 Corinthians 8:6, Ephesians 4:6, etc.
Why is this? The answer in short is because The Holy Spirit by His nature described, function and purpose is given throughout scripture, primarily in John 14:6, 26; 15:26; 16:7 and manifested perfectly in Acts chapter 2 at Pentecost exists, abodes and works within, living within and in Mark 13:32 abodes in already in both the Father and in the Son. Here in quote below by the Vatican we see they agree with the actual text of the Bible. And here we will quote the Vatican on their pagan Trinity doctrine defining the operation of the Holy Spirit and see that in fact the Vatican is defining, obviously with conscious thought, the biblical Godhead. How can 3 persons live within each other? The honesty here is 3 complete persons cannot. But 1 existing in 3 parts are. Please observe the Vatican’s self incrimination and glaring hypocrisy on the doctrine of Trinity. They even admit Godhead.
Vatican quote of the operation of the Holy Spirit (here we see the perfect example of truth mixed in with heavy doses of leaven. And in doing so the Vatican openly exposes itself to lying contradiction, heresy and hypocrisy. As defined by the Vatican as 3 distinct complete persons represented in 1 God. And in doing so the Vatican openly exposes itself to lying contradiction, heresy and hypocrisy because by its own admission it agrees in part with and even mentions Godhead and the function of the Holy Spirit that is according to scripture.
246 The Latin tradition of the Creed confesses that the Spirit “proceeds from the Father and the Son (filioque)”. The Council of Florence in 1438 explains: “The Holy Spirit is eternally from Father and Son; He has his nature and subsistence at once (simul) from the Father and the Son. He proceeds eternally from both as from one principle and through one spiration. . . . And, since the Father has through generation given to the only-begotten Son everything that belongs to the Father, except being Father, the Son has also eternally from the Father, from whom he is eternally born, that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Son.”75
248 At the outset the Eastern tradition expresses the Father’s character as first origin of the Spirit. By confessing the Spirit as he “who proceeds from the Father”, it affirms that he comes from the Father through the Son.77 The Western tradition expresses first the consubstantial communion between Father and Son, by saying that the Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son (filioque). It says this, “legitimately and with good reason”,78 for the eternal order of the divine persons in their consubstantial communion implies that the Father, as “the principle without principle”,79 is the first origin of the Spirit, but also that as Father of the only Son, he is, with the Son, the single principle from which the Holy Spirit proceeds.80 This legitimate complementarity, provided it does not become rigid, does not affect the identity of faith in the reality of the same mystery confessed.
264 “The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father as the first principle and, by the eternal gift of this to the Son, from the communion of both the Father and the Son” (St. Augustine, De Trin. 15, 26, 47: PL 42, 1095).
266 “Now this is the Catholic faith: We worship one God in the Trinity and the Trinity in unity, without either confusing the persons or dividing the substance; for the person of the Father is one, the Son’s is another, the Holy Spirit’s another; but the Godhead of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is one, their glory equal, their majesty coeternal” (Athanasian Creed: DS 75; ND 16).
