I’m growing rather weary and wary of this onslought of “religious” spirit, law keeping zealots who are now rebuking me for using the word “Easter”… Well, 3 things I have to say to you out there. 1. God read my King James Bible Acts 12:4. 2. Easter comes from the word East Meaning the rising sun, dawn. 3. Finally, if you disagree, then go read your own Bible that clearly tells you not to get hung up on and into silly arguments on a celebration, holiday, meat, drink etc. issue involving the church (body of Christ). Colossians 2:16,17; 1 Timothy 1:4… Without laboring the point I found an interesting link and 2 very good comments that sum it up better than I here below:
Happy Easter! Happy Resurrection Day! Happy Passover! Happy Pascha!
Why the Bible properly uses the word Easter
(note: I disagree with the author of this study on using all Bible Translations. The King James Version is the most accurate and reliable translation available today. All modern versions are perverted tranlations. Please see this study on Bible Translations and related issues of the church.
Let’s look at what Easter is all about in the Bible:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
